Hello, my name is Jitendra (which means to “win”) and I was born in Kisumu, a small town located right on the equator line in Kenya. My childhood was very carefree and looking back, I am so grateful that I was able to roam around freely and observe things through an innocent child’s eyes, unrestricted and uninfluenced. We had very little, but we loved and were grateful for everything we had.
I came to the UK at the age of 8 and could not speak a word of English. I taught myself English by watching Open University on TV in the early hours of the morning and reading The Economist. I also taught myself many other things some would describe as ‘interests’ like painting and decorating, brick laying, Feng Shui, Ayurveda, WordPress, gardening and installing irrigation systems.
I was lucky enough to go to City University to study a BSc in Economics and achieved a 2:1. Following which, I qualified as a Chartered Accountant with first time passes at 24 years of age and landed my dream job at Ernst & Young, a big four Chartered Accountancy practice.
Since then I have worked for many large corporations such as FM Global, Schroder’s, Aviva and also SME’S / Fintech companies as well as run my own businesses. My roles have varied from Trouble-shooter, Project Manager of a global accounting package, and Head of International collections collecting $1.4 Billion to current roles of Financial Controllership / Directorships.
I have had many challenging times but as the old saying goes, ‘that which does not kill you can only make you stronger’.
When my dad (my best friend) passed away in 1986, soon after my marriage I had a nervous breakdown and which I eventually overcame. Then back in 2017, my brother, who was close to retiring at 60 and the second youngest sibling (me being the youngest) of 8 siblings passed away and it devastated me yet again.
I decided to do a 100km Thames Path walk for his charity UNICEF and two days before the walk, my eldest sister passed away. Normal human response would have been to call off the walk but I decided to continue with the walk and also raise money for her charity, which is the British Heart Foundation. I walked through the night alone and completed the walk in 24 hours 25 minutes.
I overcame these incidents because I learnt that bad things happen but it is how you deal with it in the moment and respond that defines you, and also the knowledge that ‘this phase too shall pass’. I now know how deep I can fall and bounce back and the same goes for any human being. That is my Titanium Mindset and it is quite liberating!
I have invested tens of thousands of pounds in myself doing the following programmes:
I have years of experience in personal development and business coaching, and went on to launch an online business www.jcpconsultancytalentsearch.co.uk for business mentoring and consultancy. I also wish to show budding entrepreneurs how to set up an online business and have set up the following as my online businesses:
Dermalogica Beauty products – www.Justbeautyshop.co.uk
Iconic Cocktail Glass – www.geminichiller.co.uk
Destination weddings – www.Mydestinationweddingteam.co.uk (In progress)
Us as human beings have incredible spirit and I get immense pleasure from helping people to discover their own titanium mindset and true purpose.
I look forward to working with you!
